Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Associate Lawyer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional eager to develop their skills in multiple areas of law while working closely with our seasoned lawyers. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality legal services and committed to supporting our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist clients in various legal matters across multiple practice areas.
Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and wills.
Participate in client consultations and represent clients in negotiations and court proceedings.
Collaborate with senior lawyers on case strategies and provide support in ongoing legal matters.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Law Society of Ontario.
Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
A desire to learn and grow in various areas of law.

Part Time or Full Time Bookkeeper

Kemp Pirie Crombeen is seeking an organized, detail-oriented applicant with the ability to work with a team and on their own without supervision. Essential high levels of trust and confidentiality are required. The preferred candidate should have five years of bookkeeping/accounting, salary is based on previous work experience. Knowledge gained within a Law Office setting would be an asset. Driver's license and access to vehicle is an asset. Part time hours are 15 per week, full time hours are 37.5 per week.

Bookkeeper Job Responsibilities:

Daily bookkeeping related to Real Estate Transactions, Estates, Will, Family and Corporate Accounts
Monthly Bank Reconciliations
HST Calculations and Remittance
Law Firm Remittances
On-going Account billing against Trust Account
Excellent knowledge of Trust Accounting
Month and Year End Procedures
Bi-Weekly Payroll
Accounts Payable and Receivable
